After you've bled the brakes (again) and then driven off to test them, how far would you travel before the master cylinder cap you left on the air filter case fell off?
Just to give me an idea where down the road to look......doooohhhhh!
Back to Minispares tomorrow I suppose.!

And we've all done it. I remember in our motor club magazine many years back the comment:
Maintenance tip of the month - on your Mini Cooper the best way to dismantle your radiator cap is to drop it through the 16-blade steel fan when the engine is running!!!!!I now attach mine to the bodywork with a bit of toilet chain to prevent this.

Drove my suzuki jeep to bristol, from cornwall, left the oil cap on top of the engine. Thing gradually ran out of oil, oil pressure light wasn't working. Engine seized, cooled down, unseized, filled it full of oil again (Service Stations ££££ and then found the cap was still on top of the engine.....Drove along the M32 wondering why the traffic behind was in think fog with it's light on...Dirty softtop back window..? No, the jeep was smoking like a bonfire! Bloody thing, just when I got it back to cornwall, the engine gave up as well!!!BOOM!!
