Am tempted by one for Mrs Meeja.

Looking at a three door for around £1800-£2000 (Probably a 96/97 car)

Anything to worry about/anything to look for/thoughts in general?!

I had a test drive in one of these recently (for the missus) along with a Honda CRV. The Rav felt a bit cheap and plasticy, the Honda had a more quality feel.

a 96/97 will be better than the new ones...

much better on road car.

My other half at the time bough a new one in 98'. Hers was the softback one and she lost a small fortune on it when she traded it in. You won't have that worry though. The interior was a bit bizarre, and once when I was driving the gear box went and I could not change into 3rd. It sorted it self out and when it went to the dealers there was nothing wrong it?

Apart from that the engine was very strong and I found the performance to be not that bad, it felt like it handled more like a car than an SUV.

My mum had a '97 2.0ltr SWB Rav4 she loved it to bits. I Only drove it once or twice I thought it a great little thing too.
