Just found this in my local copy of The News (Portsmouth).

A man in his twenties escaped unhurt from a Ferrari 360 spyder, which crashed into the central reservation of the A27 between Portsmouth and Chichester. The fact that the car was left hand drive, saved his life, as the armco barrier crushed the o/s/f of the car.
It added that the man had hired the car at a cost of £3000 per week!
I haven't got a clue of how to download the article and photo, but it is on page 5 of the Fareham edition of The News.

Seems like he has got some explaining to do, when the car is due to be returned!

Your thread title with the icon makes it look like you are upset that the driver survived.

He will obviously be insured but the supercar hire agreements have a rather large excess I believe.

Not at all. The icon is because the whole event was bad. Obviously, I am delighted that the driver survived. Please accept my apologies, if the icon was taken out of context. I have now changed it to a smillie!

You can't edit the thread title/smilie, but I have removed it so there isn't one there.

Very lucky escape by the sounds of things.

The most amazing thing is that it was way back on page 5.

Someone finding a spider in the bath can be headline news in that paper.
