Hi, Looking to buy a cover for my Chimaera but don''t want to shell out £300 for one on TVR website. Does anyone know of a cheaper manufacturer? Thanks!

Not much help here, but I shelled out the 300 notes for the 'official' cover and its excellent. Fits like a glove and of very high quality. It's even shaped perfectly for the mirrors, has elasticted corners and straps if its windy. Argos do a waterproof car cover for £7.50. May not last too long but what the hell at that price it must be worth a try. You could buy 40 Argos covers for the price of the TVR one.

Try the following .... www.classicadditions.co.uk I bought a cover for my Chimp about 3 months ago from the above. Their Light Weight Waterproof. Very pleased with it. It secures underneath the car and I bought the optional Security Lock with it to prevent unauthorised removal. Total cost circa £110.00

I've got a Carcoon (big plastic bubble) airflow system with battery conditioner you can have for £300.00. Check out Carcoon.co.uk. I used it once to dry out my Griffith when it got soaked in the floods we had last year, so it is still like new. It is big enough to take a Griffith and a scooter/motorbike, or say a longer car like a Cerbera.

I had mine nicked recently which ****ed me off right royally as someone also had a go at it on haliday and ripped off the wing mirror in the process. The one I had was very good, I think it was from the TVRCC, it's one of the breathable ones with "CHIMAERA" emblazoned on the front. Bit stupid that if you ask me. It was similar to the Mole valley ones, but definitely a different company. I'd quite like to get one of those again. Does anyone know which ones I'm talking about, and if so, who makes them. Mine came with the car. Cheers

I will be reviewing the Leven Technology hood cover (including lots of pics) on the wedge site in the next few days. Although it is for a wedge, the information should be relevant for Griffiths and Chimps to. http://www.tvrwedgepages.co.uk Mike Mica Blue 350i Ps. tried the Argos cover some years ago - result: marked the paintwork, much swearing, cover in bin!.
