posted a problem 2 weeks ago ABS light on speedo not working etc, got good info and changed the rear sensor along with the bearing and the drive shaft (welded its self solid) some total £650, now after 200 miles the same fault has come back, garage seems to think its the control box another £600 anyone any ideas, car is e39 525 cheers

We had one with the same problem it was the control box. due too a jump start !!
i suspect they changed the wheel bearing due to damaging it when they removed the seized sensor, you have to be very carefull when hacking out the old seized sensor

thanks for your reply would you know if the control box is in the front left marked bosch held in place with 6no t20 screws ? if so I can get secondhand box and get that suited to my car,the mech in the garage reckons about £90

The control box is on the side of the ABS unit I think it is programed to the car so be carefull when buying a secondhand one
