Whats this light on the dash ? 996 TT

There is a yellow dash light - an exclamation mark within a triangle that the manual says is an "information light" which indicates a "control operation"
Anyone know in laymans terms what this light indicates ?
The manual says...

"The light indicates a control operation,including when PSM is switched off (brake control in the event of one sided wheel spin)"

On a friends car, the light flickers on/off under full acceleration in lower gears (the PSM is on)

Anyone know what it means ?

Any reason this should kick in?

His car is modified with an ECU chip from a well known supplier, but never heard of other ECU modded TT's doing this at all.
It has recent (well run in) tyres, so lots of tread on those.

I know the chap and its not a wind up - it happens in the dry - I was in his car earlier and it did it all the time.

Is he running on 'N' rated tyres?

Is he running non-standard tyre sizes, or perhaps one of the abs sensors is faulty - could be triggering PSM when it isn't needed.

Its a 996 tt would you not be a bit dischuffed if you COULDNT unstick the tyres?

It's the traction control light I believe-maybe related to PSM also which is probably harder to feel.
