Alarm problems??

It may be me going crazy but when I armed the alarm last night I noticed the central locking button light start to continously flash as well. I've never noticed it before - is this normal or do I have a problem?
Oh forgot to mention - I have a small oil leak - we are talking a teaspoon full right under the engine on the garage floor - I'll get this check at the next service but should I worry about this???

The alarm thing is normal at least mine does this. I'm not sure keeping your teaspoons on the garage floor is normal. Most people keep them in a draw in the kitchen
