Guys
Just taken delivery of my Cayman S (big smiles all round!) and this is my first ever Porsche (only waited 28 years since birth - far too long!!!!!). I got a decent spec on it including PCM, Bose, 19inch S wheels, air con etc BUT I didnt add the telephone module in. I know really really want it as I was in the car the other day, phone died and I felt like one of my bollox had been sliced off!! So the question:

Does anyone know if this is possible to add the telephone module on after collection and what the sort of cost is? Plus has anyone done this before.

I've got a 987 with PCM but no phone. My local OPC said you would be looking at £1000+ to retro-fit the phone module. I don't think I'll bother at that cost, an after-market bluetooth kit will be much better value.

Get a phone charger far cheaper

Or like me turn the phone off when you get in the Porsche and enjoy the drive without distractions!

Porsche brochures should come with a health warning: "If you don't factory spec your car, it will cost double or triple to retro fit, so think about your spec long and hard. In fact ask those nice people on pistonheads.com for lots of advice. Thank you"
