My S2 is currently garged at my parents house in Sussex (I live in London). I consequently get bugger all use out of it and I am concidering parking it on the street outside my house. Does anyone have any tips for keeping an S2 outside/know of any good all weather covers.

mine is kept outside come rain or shine. no specific tips (although its not kept on the road) but cover wise I bought el cheapo cover from Argos (see recent thread on this) for 4.99. Isnt perfect fit but does the job and keeps any water out and makes it that little bit more difficult for scrotes to have a go.

Mine lives outside these days. Got a Leven Tech cover on it (it leaks without it). No real problems apart from the radio seems to take time to warm up now!

Yeah this was something I was worried about. After posting a similar question I got the impression that with a bit of common sense and some sealant for the roof etc things should be O.K. - A garage would be nice though

kept mine outside b4 building a garage, used one of those caravan moisture trap things.seemed to keep the condensation down.available from all good diy stores!oh and also the cover is essential.got the £14.99 one from 'argus' .covers the roof only so it does'nt scratch the paintwork in the wind.
cheers
just a thought, remember and take said moisture trap out of car b4 driving.forgot the first time.it does not like corners!!

I've had to keep both my old Wedge and present V8S outside, I must be lucky as neither one leaked. I did buy a full cover for each for some added protection/security. They are expensive but do a good job and can be securely tied when it's blowing a gale. The Wedge however did develop some bubbling of the paintwork over the bonnet (osmosis?) which I thought might have been caused by the cover freezing to the bodywork when very cold. I leave the S uncovered when it's freezing just in case.

Mine stays outside too but I keep it well wrapped. A word of warning. I bought a full, waterproof cover from Halfords, a thing made in Italy with elasticated ends that cost about 60 quid. Waterproof it ain't, the fabric is brittle and the funny lining doesn't seem to offer much protection. I use some old flannelette sheets underneath just in case it damages the paintwork. As for a cheapy from Argos? Don't you guys like your cars? Do you wear nylon shirts?

the roof panels dont seem to get scratched

they are only roof covers, not the whole shooting match (although you can buy them too but dont think the paintwork would stay too long)

£4.99 well spent!!!!!!!!!!!!
