Anyone Follow ALMS?
Discussion
They are shorter races. However, sometimes that can be a good thing. It allows some of the teams that may have mechanical iconsistencies to have a better day at the tracks. It also, imho, allows for more competitive racing. The GT1 class in the Lime Rock race was contested, and decided, during the last 10 to 20 feet of track. Fantastic finish.

Can't wait to see how things turn out in Utah at Miller Motorsport Park - quite an interesting track by all accounts.
I've saw the AMA Superbike just held there, very tight and twisty, might be a bit too twisty for the ALMS cars.
Agree, far too tight for the LMP1 cars, but a good race nonetheless.

Actually, I think the Petit Lemans at Road Atlanta is going to be a good race this year (end of September). The track at Road Atlanta is very good for this sort of race. Besides that, it is a 10 hour race which will test endurance as well as pure driving ability.

There's an outside chance I might make it to that race

You will love it. Unfortunately, I can't go this year due to other commitments. However, if you need the location of any "fun places" to visit in Atlanta after the race, let me know.

We might also try and make it down, although right now Sebring next year is looking more likely...
If we both manage it, fancy a beer trackside?
