Broken Bonnet Stand.

Whilst checking my oil and water today with the bonnet up on to the stand catch, it decided to collapse on me.
The joint attaching the stand to the bonnet had come away from its mounting. Altough it has not totally seperated yet, its only a matter of time!
Anybody have an idea's or quick fixes on how to repair this.
