Roock wheels and exhaust?
Discussion
Having loads of problems selling my RS(dreaded VAT issues exporting from Jersey)..so may well keep it after all..Interested in wheels to use on a daily basis(store the original wheels to prevent further bolt/corrosion issues).Roock look good but also like the idea of the current Speedline magnesium wheels, does anyone have any experience of either?( or a suitable alternative)
Also can anyone advise on replacement back boxes for the exhaust...standard ones are just too quiet!!
Sorry for the long post!!

The Roock exhausts are some of the nicest I've heard on a 993, but I've only heard them from outside the car so I can't say if they're overly loud in car.
I used to have Milltek's (supplied by AMD) which were a nice improvement on the standard boxes while not too loud or boomy. But after hearing Robin Sun's RSR's decided to change to them.
I noticed you've puts some pics of your car on Robin's web site so you're probably familiar with them.
For other reading this... The RSR's are modified standard 993 exhaust end boxes, a chap in Canada (Robin Sun) designed the internal mods after failing to find an aftermarket exhaust that was to his liking. They're still fairly subtle but return the classic old 911 aircooled throaty sound overlaid with the deeper bass of the later large capacity cars, and have wicked cackle on the overun. See this link for more detail... http://p-car.com/exhaust/
Gert Carnewal (www.carnewal-europe.com) in Belgium handles supply of these for Europe and will send you a set on S.O.R, if you don't like them you return them, no questions asked.
On the subject of wheels you could do a lot worse than the latest 2002 standard Porsche wheels. Light, easy to clean, and give a great view of the disc/caliper.
