Is there a web site or other resource which can explain to me in simple language, ideally accompanied by pictures, all the different models of TVR going back as far as, say, the wedge models?
TIA

You could try going to the source and go to the virtual showroom on the TVR site covers all the current models inc. the race cars - though the Speed 12 is now defunct !! website is:
www.tvr.co.uk/tvr.htm
