I have a 98 Boxster and for some reason when i unlock the car i can't get access to the boot or bonnet using the handles inside. They will not pull up as if something is holding them down. I can get access to the boot by using the keyfob but i need under the hood to get my wheel locking key out. If anyone has any ideas i would love to know. Cheers Jamie

There will undoubtedly be some kind of emergency release; a cable behind the bumper/headlight or something, but you'll need to remove some fairly major componentry first. Either ask your local OPC giving them your chassis code, or book it in.

There is a cam that locks the handles in place. It's supposed to retract but it sounds like yours hasnt for some reason. Normally deactivating the alarm releases the cam.

Emergency bonnet release is detailed here

You may have to join Renntech to see it, but that's worthwhile as it's an excellent Porsche tech site.
