Just a reminder for CLNZ members. The usual club night at the VCC rooms has been replaced with a video evening at the Horse & Trap just for tonight.
It’s located in Enfield Street, Mt Eden. Starts at 8pm or you can arrive earlier at 7pm if you want to buy a meal in the bar area there.

Something different eh!

Doing it all myself... it's back together but I'm currently fabricating a little rig to allow me to do my own bumpsteer mapping, once I've got that sorted it'll be getting a geometry re-set done on it. So yeah... all a work in progress

What's being "smartened" on yours? Looked pretty smart to start with

You missed a good night... could have done with you there Roger to redress the balance, was an evening that was very biased towards big, heavy wedgy Lotuses

Was a good night except for the poor DVD and viewing equipment. I think they are doing their rounds of showing all the models, so yes will be doing a night showing off those small bundles of engergy with attitude called lises! I actually prefer going there for club nights than the cold VCC rooms. Seems a good idea to do a heap more there esp while its so central.

I agree it was a great night.

Whose DVD was it? was it yours Kylie? I'd love to borrow it at some point as it was REALLY interesting but with me being sick and Kelly being tired we needed an early night (not one of THOSE early nights either!)

Even though I'm an Elise owner I'm still an Esprit fanboy through and through (my username should attest to that!) and I still think theyre one of the most gorgeous and complete supercars ever made (except for maybe the cooling system and gearbox!) Would love to be able to watch that in my own time at some point

I liked the atmosphere there too, it's always gonna be fairly quiet on a monday night which means you can go in early and have a bite to eat and a pint over some Lotus-related chat before going onto something more formal. I enjoyed it.... hell I even managed to throw my drink at Dean S!

It was Dean S DVD, but I have the same one, so you can borrow mine if you want, or come over for a few quiets one night and watch it on the big screen Which ever dosent bother us.

We also have the DVD of the racing Esprits when they were running against Maclarens, footage in the cockpits.

kylie, A DVD night at your place would be great.... got to allow Simon to show off your home theatre!

I've seen some of the Esprit GT1 (*drools uncontrollably) footage on youtube but it's prettynaff quality, but it's still damned impressive I remember that in the late '90s and even into my university years I had pictures of Esprit GT1s plastered ALL OVER my bedroom walls along with pictures of the IMSA X180Rs.
