Not sure if it's "PC" to introduce yourself on a forum as large as this one, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway!

I own a Purple Equinox 1275 (had you guessed by my name?! ) and am an active member of over two years of my local Mini Club. I have attended many shows over the last couple of years, including three L2B runs and MiTP.. I'm sure some of you have attended them as well?

I have had Princess (my car!) for nearly 4 years now and she always does me proud. I recently bought her some new alloys as a present for being so good to me! When I have taken some pics of her with her new wheels, I will add them to my profile...

Pleased to meet you all!

Hey Emma

How has the interior been upgraded just out of interest? Mine came as standard with part leather seats and black fabric with the Equinox design in purple on it...

Welcome on board.

Do you know Jim Jupp? He was quite high in the ranks of LSMOC!

Hi Liz, welcome!

Like you I absolutely adore my Equinox. I have not changed the seats as they are pretty fantastic with the black leather(actually I think it is vinyl ) and purple embroidery. But I have added mahogany veneer door furniture (handles, winders, openers), gearknob and leather/veneer steering wheel to match the dash. Along with some black with purple edged mats it looks quite different to standard. Although my car is a silver one not purple.

I have also put on Cooper S brakes and 10 inch wheels which has made a vast difference to the handling. 10s are the way to go mate

Anyhoo, hope to see you at a meet sometime and we can compare!

Edite to add: Oh yeah I forgot about the decat, straight through, twin tailpipe exhaust

Hi Liz & welcome - impressive one day & already been to pie & piston! - how come evryone elses equinox is so nice mine is scrap!!! - seat are viynl as ace t suggests - but what the hell just carry on claiming they're leather - saves on feeling inferior and later expensive upgrades - look the part though.....

Look, they've been leather since I got her 4 yrs ago, so they're staying leather.. OK?!

The walnut interior sounds lovely Ace-T... the guys in my club are trying to persuade me to fit chrome winders, handle, etc but I just haven't got around to it. tbh, she is my daily runner and even though I don't hesitate to spend money on her when she needs necessary work done to her, when it comes to "optional extras" I can't always find the money Had 10" alloys fitted though, which look excellent

Tim, I felt brave to venture to P&P because I already know a few ppl on here, but tbh, knowing me I would have done anyway!!

Gedon bird. I've got a 66 Cooper with a massive engine. Get yourself to Huddersfield spares and sort the suspension out. They have some strong well made, cheap components. MWS for the cheapest sticky rubber (as if you didn't know that anyway!)
