No real obvious place get rid of it here - I had a friendly garage that I used to get work done at in the UK and they used to let me dump the old oil. I deffo don't want to dump it as a) I'm not like that and b) I would imagine it would end up in the lovely lake.

The recycling place at Frankton doesn't seem to have anything either. So at the mo, I've got a large bucker with about 12 litres of black stuff sitting on the corner of the drive and a 'polite reminder' everyday from the wife that it is still there.

Help.

Most garage/workshops will let you dispose of your old oil there. Next time you're passing by one, pop in and mention that you've got some oil you want to get rid of and they'll probably let you dump it in ther drum.... IIRC they get paid a small amount for disposing of it by the recyclers (like scrap metal) so they make a few cents out of it

Most recycling places / transfer stations have somewhere that takes oil. If the landfill is in a different place to the recycling it may be worth trying there.

Or just have a word with a local garage, they may charge you a few dollars or beers to dump it there but shouldnt be much if they do. idea Or just leave it outside their workshop door in the middle of the night bandit
