Oh yeh, I forgot to mention, whilst at the factory for the open day earlier this month, I bet Richard (for the moment, an undisclosed sum of money) that my GTW would better the factories 9.9 second quarter mile time and we shook hands on it. The run is a way off at the moment but I intend to visit Santa Pod early March. Not the best test for the GTW but a start and a bit of fun to boot. My word is my bond and I will be paying up if I lose (for example, should a wheel fall off or I am stopped in my tracks by a mother pushing a pram across the track ) but rest assured, it aint gonna happen! LET THE ANTICIPATION COMMENCE!
for the first 60 yrd You know me pee, easy come, easy go and now that Phil has kindly educated me in the ways and wherefores of the imperial measurement system, I am prepared to take on any Ultima at the 440 YRDS!
G!, where the devil have you been man, I was worried that maybe you had consumed one lettuce leaf too many and did not have the strength as a result to switch on your PC.

Why is it GTW instead of GTR ? Is that a different body/chassis or why the "W" ?

The stomach I am working on, the brain on the other hand, should be no problem - I don't have one!
The GTW is called such because it is mine and the only difference between it and the GTR is every mechanical part of the car has been liberally doused with my own blood, sweat and tears.
With regards to my measly wee 650bhp compared to the mighty 720bhp of the factory record holder (for now in any case), I can only hope to be a little more polished behind the wheel than Richard or perhaps have slightly less of a head wind on the day to stand a chance but I am an optimist, and feel that the GTW will prevail.
