Got a lurverly one but have noticed that some of the paintwork has blemishes and a very few rust spots, also that she's been touched up in the past by the previous owner.

I intend to sell her and buy something more modern with a moveable lid but the question is do I sell her 'warts and all', at a lesser price, or do I get the work done and ask more when selling her?

I'm getting the bushes replaced, which have failed through lack of use in the past anyway, so I need to decide on what spraying or touching up to have done at the same time.

Over to you guys!

If you're selling to a dealer, no; if selling privately I'd get it done, since it will hamper the sale at best, or result in a disproportionate loss of value. This type of repair comes with the territory and has to be done regularly anyway, so it's not like you're conning anybody.

Thanks that exactly what I was thinking, but I didn't want anyone to think that I was merely hiding something.

Cheers!

Don't get sucked into spending too much purely for a re-sale.

Sorry, but GT4's don't fetch huge prices and many buyers like to see what's going on at that end of the market. With fresh paint, questions will of course be asked, and it's hard to prove you've only done a bit of make up, when you could have concealed a horror with the same end result.

Take photo's with the date etc before you fix it up, to help prove your honesty!
