It would be great if all of you that have or have had a Ferrari or Lamborghini would be kind enough to say a little bit about what it was like the first time you got your car.

Did it live up to expectations?
Was it a massive buzz and everything you expected?
Was it a huge disappointment?
Would you do it again?

And did you go from a Ferrari to a Lambo or vice versa and regret it?

Basically the warts and all version of an event that i feel i will never experience, but would love to hear anyone elses version.

Looking forward to your comments!

To answer questions:
* more than
* more than
* no
* yes - plotting at the moment

You can find plenty of Ferrari/Lambo tales here:
www.auto-journals.com/

List of all journals here:

There are three PH'ers' Lamborghinis: my Espada, Shoebag's Diablo, CrikeyMikey's Gallardo. Plus there are 328, 355 and 360 Ferraris.

I think GIJnr wrote about when he picked up his Lamborghini. Have a search for it. It is good.

I think I was more excited collecting my Viper from Southampton docks than when my Diablo was delivered. When I saw the Viper in the docks compound I ran over and kissed it where I was so elated.

When the Diablo arrived and was unloaded from the transporter I kind of just stood and stared at it on the drive and found it difficult to comprehend it was actually mine.
Yes it lives up to all my expectations. It is difficult to forget that you are driving a Supercar when the whole world seems to be looking at you.

Yes I would do it again and again and again if finances allowed.
What I really want is a Saleen S7 TT.

Hope to repeat the experience with a Lamborghini in the not too distant

It doesn't make much sense to buy cars like these which is the best recommendation there is and why you just have to JFDI

Did it live up to expectations? - Oh yes, more so. Was concerned over mortgage size running costs and reliability, but both have exceeded expectations.

Was it a massive buzz and everything you expected? - Collecting the car was a little nerve racking, but I would allow myself a little chuckle. 3 years later, still chuckle to myself occasionaly!!

Was it a huge disappointment? - Quite the opposite, still makes me grin!

Would you do it again? - Absolutly

And did you go from a Ferrari to a Lambo or vice versa and regret it? - Would love a Lambo, but need that lotto ticket to come up trumps!!
