I took Mrs GMan out on Saturday to look at some new cars she is interested in.

Got to one place to try a V6 Clio, and they would not let her drive it, unless we paid a £500 deposit and would buy the car.

Told them to p*** off, what a joke.

Going to have a look at an Integra DC5 later in the week for her.

Its funny, but i never seem to have a problem test driving cars, and have driven Maseratis 3200/Lotus espirt V8/porsche 996 etc so high value cars. On each occassion I just turned up and said can I have a test drive. Perhaps its just me being an older bloke still only 37 though. But this is not the first thread on this subject, so you not on your own.

We have never had a problem in the past, I'm 32 and she is 26.

When I got my M3 I was given a car for the day to use, the same with her Mini Cooper.

Also had a 911 4S for the afternoon before I went stupid and bought my Skyline.

What really p***ed Mrs GMan off most was when the sales guy said to me, with her stood next to me "Are YOU sure she want's to get something this powerful?"

Anyway no business for him.

G-man, that's well out of order. Seriously mate, with that attitude his boss should know what he said. It's none of his f**king business what driving experience your mrs has. Having grassed the toe-rag up take your business to another garage (unless you can negotiate a substantial discount to heal the emotional trauma your mrs went through!)
