you could have warned me
Discussion
Well went and picked my 355 spider up yesterday Absolutley the greatest felling ever and the decatted sports zorst sounds amazing.
However some one could have warned me how bl**dy wide they are basically forgot how wide it was going passed a central refuge
Result one scuffed front wheel (not too worried) however the rear has a nice big chunk missing now, been in touch with graypauls in nottm this morning and its gonna cost £1700 for the new wheel a new pirelli pzero and 4 wheel alignment....
Guess its an expensive lesson to me not to get to cocky..
Mind you its took me 30yrs to realise the dream of owning a ferrari so im not bitter

did the same on my 348 spider, glad to see i'm not the only one because i felt like a right muppet, just burst the rear tyre on mine whilst trying to squeeze passed a boy racer..so it was just new rear tyres for me...the cars should come with a sticker on purchase..."this car is wide...ESPECIALLY AT THE BACK...so watch it" which you can then remove after you've done a few miles..obviously could have been so much worse.
Congrat on the purchase!! Sounds like no real harm done, just a wheel. You can see where the Greypaul price comes from when you find out that new wheels are £1100 each including VAT, makes the used option look pretty good.
That lass from Girls Aloud scraped the side of that 355 pretty bad when Plato took them to the track. They were all taking the pi$$ on the TV, but lets be fair it was her first time in a wide L.H.D F355.

the thing is the second you get behind the wheel and start one up you just feel in a different world and all sensibility goes out the window till the car turns round and says excuse me im a ferrari dont try that
yep...i am feeling that...got my dream and thought i was cool and was driving towards heathrow...dropping someone of...and was actually in the process of saying "wait till you hear this thing in the tunnel"and probably being a being a little bit of a tt really..its got a tubi....and everything was getting a little bit not responsible .....and then bang....the tyre goes ...no spare of course. so embaressing wait for the aa....but a vital lesson.....much worse lies in wait for the new fezza owner.i mean...you get in to one of these things for the first time and they are a little tiny bit intoxicating...lots of people must stack them straight away....so i learnt my lesson for £400 ....and that is the cheapest best lesson i have ever learned..your car looks great...enjoy.....

I had my new Murcie 3 days and scraped both wheels down the kerb (as SteveF will testify). Its not nice but easily done.
I took my 360 on a 4 day drive from London to Malta the day after I got it. I'd kerbed 3 of the wheels going in and out of carparks by the time I'd got there!
