Hazard Warning switch

Anyone got any ideas on how to check it out to see if its the switch or summit else ?

The indicators work fine...as does everything else electrics wise...well except for the brake warning system.

Should the black earth wire be on the left or the right on these switches when looking from above with them slightly removed from their slots ?

Just short the plug out, if they work its the switch.

The main connectors will only go on one way. The wires to the sides of the switch are for the illumination of the switch (in the case of the hazard switch, for the flashing red light). Not sure if they need to be connected for the whole circuit to work but I seriously doubt it...
