Hi All,

In a few weeks, I will have owned my 'beast' for a year, and will need to 'renew' a Warranty. I definitely will have a warranty of some sort, so a few questions:

1. Any idea how much is the Trident Warranty for 12 months?
2. Are there any alternatives, and if so, details please? why would you chose what you chose...

General views on waranties would be welcome....

Thanks in advance....

Cheers,
John

Trident Warranty is £1500 for the year. The car has to be checked by the dealer AT LEAST 1 month before the current warranty expires.

My dealer told me £1500 for a non Maserati warranty with £4k limit per claim or a Maserati one (year 4 only) £2k, no limit.....is that right?

I have used AON for the past two years, £2k per year premium and £4k max individual claim limit, supposed to allow multiple claims per year but I would't bet on it, I have spent £4k on warranties so far and never made a claim but it's sods law that if I don't bother next year something will go wrong

Hiya John,

1) Trident warranty SUCKS. Expensive, a PITA to get anything reckon (if at all), not worth it.
2) Got Lloyds Warrantywise, 750 quid/year for their top cover, but never made a claim so far...

Sorry for the late reply...

For individual claims, 10 grand. Bet if you've got damage above that you have screwed-it up big time.

Specific equipment (e.g., ECU damage) also included.

Ed,

Cheers for the recommendation - which one did you go for? Premium, Total?

Thanks,
John

Hi John,

Cover is Total. Includes

- ABS
- ECU
- Turbos (?) -> as they have no other descriptor, I was told for the 4200 this extra covers some other repair on the engine (don't have the details with me)
- Aircon
- Main dealer repairs (at 95 quid hourly rate, a bit low but enough)
- AA recovery (option 200 w/roadside relay)

Excludes (but you can throw them in if you want to pay an additional premium)

- Tyre insurance
- W+T
- MOT test insurance
- Key protection

BTW, hope you are well... was expecting to see you @ the FLM redez vous, but unfortunate we had to suspend it (bit quiet on the forum in the past days, must check with Angelis...)

Cheers,

Ed
