Wheel studs that is - a mate has a '72 van for which he's aquired some Minifin rear drums with built in spacers. He now needs some longer studs to fit his Minilite wheels.

Trouble is we can only find 80mm or 60mm studs. The 60mm ones are too short. The 80mm ones are too long and don't have the length of screw thread that he needs and as they're hardened steel you can't cut extra thread.

What he really needs are some 70mm ones - anyone know where to get some?

Cheers,
Rich

The ones I have from the flat of the head that goes against the back of the hub to the end of the stud is 65mm.

Thanks, I'll get my mate to do some precision measuring, sounds like they might be just the ticket!

You could always cut the longer ones down using a thin cutting disk in an angle grinder.

..or a dremel?

That would be the better option if you already have the longer ones.

Just wanted to say thanks to ZeroT - those studs you mentioned worked a treat, one very chuffed mate (he's also my tame builder, extra mate's rates on the next job then! )
