996 2003 clutch expectancy?

Hi all,
With "normal" driving what would be the expectancy of a 996 clutch?

Just had mine done at 40000 miles

depends where the car spends most of it's time, in town or on motorway

mine was just done at 72k miles, its the first time its been changed.

How can you be so sure Gary? I had mine done at about 75k on my 996 but wouldn't have any idea how many (if) it had had before...

off course I cant be 100% sure but I have all the history from new, all service/warranty/invoice stuff everything and it is not in there, the previous owner said it might need a new clutch soon as its still on the original when i bought it.

but your right, unless I had it from new I couldnt be 100% sure.

Your driving style is easy on clutches. Had one changed 33k, but I did drive the car quite quickly

Ah I see, for some reason I always think of your car being a bit of an unknown (just from the thread regarding what mods it did/didn't have on it) in terms of extras and work etc. That's all.
