Thinking of getting a new MX-5 as my next set of company wheels.....

I am definetly going for the lowering suspension kit, not sure whether I should stiffen things up that little bit extra with the strut tower bar option or not?

Any recommendations? I'm sure you should probably get them as a pair....

Depends if you're up for the trade-off with these upgrades - more dynamic drive vs harsher ride...

I have a front strut brace fitted to my mark 1 mx-5, plus lowered suspension, all standard as its an s-type!!!! and although the ride is quite harsh, when you get to the corners it is all worth it believe me!!!!!!!

Go ahead - strut your stuff! Less body flex, tighter cornering, fingertip reactions.

I have a mk2 with a lower front strut brace. Definitely improved things, giving noticeably better high speed precision through bends.

Got an upper brace on the mk1, could do with lower front, lower rear and 1.8 cockpit brace bar as well.. they'll come in time.. Upper front tightened things up nicely..
