156 Key question
Discussion
I'm taking delivery of a 2005 sportwagon very soon, just wondering how many keys should come with the car. My 3.0 GTV came with 2 normal keys, a service key and a master key(which is used to make duplicates of the normal keys). I believe if you don't have a master key and lose your normal keys, you need a new ECU.
So, did your 156's come with a master key?
One other question, does the car show external air temperature on the computer/dashboard display?
thanks

You should just get two identical "normal" everyday keys.
That's what I've got!
One is mint and obviously never been used (tested and it works though - have to be careful battery isn't dead/synch is out) and the other the AR badge has worn lol.
Sportwagons are grrrreat - not that I'm biased! (bought mine 3 weeks ago )
The line I was given was that Alfa moved away from the master key method of linking new keys as people would lose the master or not get given it when buying second hand. So instead they moved to a system where they need to hook it up to a diagnostic machine to code new keys. And then charge you an hours labour for it!

Slightly off thread, I had two normal keys with my 156, both are now Knackered, the main button on both is permanantly depressed, anyone know how much replacements are?
Before you spend money on replacements, try cleaning them - just open them up & clean everything up with contact cleaner.
