Just gave away my 928...
Discussion
The deal was that the recipient didn't break it for spares. He's a friend and a Porsche employee with a record of doing up older Porsches. Plus I get first refusal if he wants to sell at a later date.
I think I did the right thing? I would hate to see it broken and as my friend pointed out, if I'd given it away 5 years ago and rented out the garage I stored it in, I could now afford to buy a decent 928!

Hi
Admirable.....there are too many 928s being broken purely because the parts value on Ebay exceeds the cars resale value
I would do the same....it would break my heart to sell my car for parts...
Very well done
All the best Brett

Hi
Not really a lot of money for a supercar....they always RUN....its not the mechanicals that give the problems....its things like the electrics etc...
Where else can you buy a 160 mph car for around 3k....
All the best Brett

Although there is an Aston Martin Lagonda going cheap on Ebay at the moment that I'm trying not to bid on!

STEP AWAY FROM EBAY!!!
The signature in your profile seems pretty accurate.
I hope this garage is about 200,000 square feet and gives you an anual rent of over £100K because you will probably need it all to run a Lagonda.
I had to persuade my dad from buying a Lagonda at auction. I was actually relieved when he came home with a Ferrari 400i instead
