Waiting time for new Civic

Hi, I have waited 8 weeks for a new Civic and have now been told that it's going to be delayed 3 weeks. Am I being paranoid or does it really take that long to build a new car? Are there normally delays past the delivery date on new Honda's? I know they are popular but I expected the delivery date to be accurate. Any advice welcome.

Delivery dates for ANY car, never mind just Hondas can and do slip for a variety of reasons.
Could be anything at all, and whilst not nice, is immaterial in the grand scheme of things.
If it settles your mind, you could ask the dealer why, or call Honda directly and ask why.
Personally, I'd be only slightly miffed but put it to the back of my mind the next day after learning about the delay.
