I installed one in my 968, ISTR the model # was ??400. The sound quality was much better than the previous Sony, it was straightforard to use, and it looked as if it always should have been on the Porsche dash.

hope this helps

had one of the single din 6 disc units a while back in my Tuscan and found it quite good to use but a bit basic. The 24 bit single disc unit obviously a lot better for sound but depends on what you are looking for. Never had any problems with it even though when i wanted to fit one ina new car the hifi dealer said they weren't as good as he originally thought...don't know why!!!

Great. The 968 I am looking at has the 6 disc music bank I think. Does it come with remote?

The single CD units have exceptional sound quality. You can't beat a Nak for this. If you want features go elsewhere but if it's sound quality - untouchable in my opinion, and yes the look of them would work nicely in a Porsche. Especially the ones with the amber display.

Great sounding units but the 6 disk was dogged with reliability issues - I had 3 in the cupboard that were all beyond economical repair!
