Ok, Bit of a weird problem.

Sometimes when i switch my car on all of the needles in the speedo force their way to the bottom, vibrate and start making a noise. It only happens for a split second.

Is this the electrics or whole speedo about to fail or is it a common problem?

Its a 2003 Cooper by the way.

On my Mini One (53 plate) it's always done this. I've assumed it was normal

i found loads of threads about this problem on mini2.
Apparently its the speedo recalibrating itself. Its a common thing.

Good for future reference I spose.
