not too near you but Bracknell tyres are damned reasonable - try dir. enquiries - they're in one of the industrial estates. What's this no-job thing then?

Micheldever tyres. I can get the number from Ben. Failing that I get a deal with Bridgestone through my Stepson. Last time Micheldever outquoted them though!!

I don't know where you are based, but if you are in Surrey try Treble B's Tyres they are on the Croydon Rd in Caterham. I paid GBP 125.00 p/tyre for Goodyear F1's 245/45/16 fitted inc VAT.

Web site is www.micheldever.co.uk. They are very good on price and used to working on sports cars and expensive wheels.

I need to new rears for my Griff, but Bracknell Tyres (the cheapest? £128 ea) only have S03's. Is it OK to mix SO3's on the rear and SO2's on the front (still got 5-6 mm)

Humphries in Bagshot £75.00 each for front so 2's the cheapest I could find (just on the A30 five mins from bracknell)

I was in the same situation. Local tyre fitter contacted Bridgstone who said they could supply SO2 to match the front but recommended SO3 and change fronts to SO3 when needed. £97 +vat and fitting. Now wether he really contacted them.....

Apache, I got my S02's from Headly Tyres near Newbury. They seemed to be the cheapest I could find at around £100 a tyre I think.

The number is 01635 268384.

Cheers,

Graham

Micheldever tyres are excellent and good value - especially since I live in Sheffield, and they get tyres to me next day, £10.00 P+P, pleasant service on the 'phone, all in all top marks!

If you're near Essex try Jet Tyres - 01268 511161 or 822828.

225/50/16 S03s (Chimaera 4.0 rears) are £106 each fitted and balanced.

thanks again for all the replies chaps....I got a fair quote from Bracknell Tyres (I am using 17" wheels so have to stump up more)....£527 for 2 x 215/40 17" and 2 x 245/40 17" I went to my local Kwik Fit (never trust a business that can't spell) and was quoted near £800, told them about Bracknells quote and they mumbled something about 'greedy head office' and came back with £540 which for convenience sake I took....SO 3's btw cool tread pattern

Had SO3's fitted on the rear at Micheldever last Friday and quite like the tyre, haven't really pushed with them yet but they seem very grippy - but perhaps now giving a little understeer at the front? (SO2's)
BTW Make sure you check you tyre pressures afterwards, one was 30psi the other 36!!
