rev counter problems

hi we have a mini that the rev counter does not work on the back is two wires one with a spade connecter and one with a bullit contectet can any body tell me where the other ends go

one goes to the -v on the coil

one goes to a ignition on fused supply

you will also need a earth.

i assume this is from a std 3 clock dash pack?

if so a later car will have the two wires built into the loom.

one is white/black (coil)

one is green (supply)

cant remember the ends on them, but they are different so the only can go one way
