CAT 1 Alarm - Price???

I'm currently looking to buy a new Impreza via an importer.... the only difference from standard UK car being that a CAT 1 Alarm isn't standard. To install a CAT 1 to the same standard as a UK car i'm being asked for £399.... is this a fair price or am i being ripped off?

seems ball park to be honest.... you could spend a lot more than that if you wanted

do a search on google. i found a cat 1 for under 300 fitted. if u want something special your gonna pay a bit more, but i stick to a basic insurance approved alarm just to keep premiums down, and less to go wrong.

Thanks guys... I think i'll have one fitted by the garage i buy it from then - at least you can add it to the finance!
