Fancy one of these. In the vid it looks very stable. Worth a risk at just £25 ? Anyone had one or similar ?

A mate got one of these www.firebox.com/product/1420?src_t=t20 at xmas. Looks similar and apparently its a piece of piss to fly. Very tempted to get one myself.

I can highly recommend the Picoo Z, it's easy to fly and a lot of fun. It's also extremely robust, I've crashed mine a number of times and it just keeps going

It's a bit limited being only 2 channels though (according to my other half). He started on one of those, and still has it, but he rapidly wanted to progress on to something that was a bit more controllable, and ended up with a Medevac something or other.

Ive got a 4 channel electic heli.. as an RC halfwit it was beyond my ability to fly Its now sitting rebuilt ( several times ) and on a shelf gathering dust

Quite fancy somthing easier to be honest.

I recon at 25 squid or so these are worth a punt

That is true, but what it lacks in control it more than makes up for in robustness. Amazing the number of walls you can hit without damage

I am on my 2nd Picoo-Z. Make sure you get a genuine Picoo-Z by Silverlit toys. The clones are shit. I fly 'proper' model helis but still find the little Picoo great fun.

Utterly amazing for £20 when you know what it takes to make a proper one fly so stable...

I have so far dismissed this little heli as a bit of a gimick, but see that video and what you guys have said it's got to be worth a go, just for a few indoor laughs! Think I'm gonna get one.

Oh dear, they're very addictive, aren't they?

I'm currently terrorising the office with the one that arrived in the post this morning.

I now realise that I need something a lot bigger that can fire ordnance....

Received my Picoo-Z this morning. What a hoot! A little unpredictable navigating around the living room, but only a couple of heavy landings and a colision with the chandalier so far. I must say though, the cat is not impressed. hehe

I found that using one of the little metal stickers on the nose helped stability a lot.

I've got one... if you put all three aluminium stickers, or a paper clip, on the nose (top surface works best)... the little beauty will fly forwards of its own accord, otherwise a bugger to move around consistently) and then you can have some real fun.

Enjoy

Will try the paper clip thing. All three stickers haven't made much difference.

Having trouble with it constantly spinning anti-clockwise when in the air at the moment. A keep pressing the correct 'trim' button, but it doesn't seem to deal with it like it did to start with.

Any ideas? Peraps one too many crashes me thinks!

Sounds like the tail rotor isn't spinning fast enough... happens occasionally to me (for no apparent reason) check for any carpet hair etc... also I find if you blow on it it will spin and may correct the problem.

The shaft of the tail rotor motor is very easily bent in a crash and the motor soon burns out as a result. As mentioned, check for fluff first, but if it's not that the motor's dead and so is the heli I am afraid. My first Picoo Z went this way.

We had a couple of Picooz's at work - nothing got done for weeks! A drawing pin pushed in to the nose transforms them in to a fast and fun fliying machine. Right to go forwards, Left to bring to a hover, coupled with the power allows precise control. We've flown ours outside in the wind up to 50ft! Best £25 you'll ever spend. I think www.flyingtoys.co.uk were doing a box of 12 @ £17 each including vat and delivery (from memory)
