Haven't been to the kit car show at stoneleigh before, but my girlfriend and me are thinking of camping overnight there on the Sunday night.

Is it worth it ? what goes on, do they have bands on and lots of bars ? seen any fights / trouble there ? is it a good atmosphere ?

A big room with a disco last year, no fights, one bar but other clubs doing their own thing around the site. I enjoyed it, apart from the karaoke! mainly cos I didnt get a go!

Do you have a Kitcar? or affiliate yourself to a make?
If so then get yourself teamed up with other owners of the brand during the day then camp/party with them that evening. Almost every main kit make will have a 'club/owners' stand where some sort of BBQ or beer cooler will be the focus of attention.
I found the bar/band to be far too loud but then I'm an old git so my opinion doesn't count.

Have just bought a Pilgrim Hawthorn and posted some photos on the readers cars forum.

In the process of joining the owners club, no idea how many of them will be at Stoneleigh or staying over or more importantly drinking vodka, but if there are plenty of other people staying over then it sounds like a laugh, so will give it a go.

Short answer: yes. Especially if there's a decent owners' club for your particular marque. I think last year we had about a dozen South West Tigers staying over and had a great time.
