Seen one round town recently 07 plate cooper in black with zebra striped roof, the interesting bit was the usual viper stripes were a zebra stripe panel, bonnet and boot. Looked factory as well, Bit different to the norm, quite liked it.

Does sound rather unusual! There are some rather good ones in the accessory brochure.

I have a zip decal on my roof - its pretty unusual, not seen another one like it which is nice. Factory fitted also.

A rather lame pic of it

A pic I found a while back which shows all the dealer fit roof decals:

That last pic is cool. I really like the grey union jack, kind of thinking about it for my black roof.

Can you get them retro fitted at the dealer?

All of the above assuming the can fix the bloody gearbox / clutch and I dont need to reject it!!!

Hi.

Yeh they are a retrofit option, infact I think if you order it with a new car they are actually fitted by the dealer rather than the factory. Acording to my options booklet (which is for the 1st gen New MINI) the cost of the grey union jack is £115 - however I dont think this includes the labour charge and I dont know how many labour hours MINI charge for the roof decal. I would be very suprised though if it came to over £200 all in from a main dealer.

The grey union jack does look very cool aswel, seen it on a few cars and its much better than the pic!

As Jolly says dealership retro fit option, £115 as listed in the new 2007 mini accessories brochure- part no 95 21 0 000 013.
and it's "silver" not grey edantmodeoff:
Just picked my Cooper up last Wednesday, only 250 miles so far but it's great fun.
Pics to post soon.

No longer true. You CAN get white checks to go on a black roof- part no 95 21 0 000 026
And it's only £99

I double checked (pun intended) before I bought mine...

Just about to pick up a new Cooper - red with full Union Jack roof - cost to supply and fit was £250 - and its a dealer fit option (in fact the dealer we use gets someone in to do it)
