headers remove noise??

OK the noise thing isn't a big deal as I like the sound now but....

I've recently had capa 4 into 1 headers fitted on my cv8 which also has a full miltek system with high flow cats. Since having the headers fitted the noise in the car is certainly quieter. Possibly due to the change in harmonics of the exhaust note?

I am not complaining, in fact, I love it now - still has a nice burble and throttle is much nicer but just found it strange that it almost sounds quieter.

Am I going mad/deaf or is this possibly the case?

With the Wortec the noise is a LOT louder with headers, not sure about milltek/capa though.

Although with headers the drone is a lot less noticeable.
