Based on my experience of the Tamora, I've found aircon to be useful those times when I have been sat in traffic or driving round town and its very hot outside. Once the car's moving I've always found there's enough air circulating from the windows to stay cool (even with the top on).
Its definitely a luxury on the Tamora - it might be a bit different with a hard top, especially when it comes to resale time.

anyone got a T350c without air con?.if so do you think you made a mistake and now believe it would have been 1930 pounds well spent or is your interior not getting that hot?.
I've got aircon on my t350c and whilst it definately aint worth 2 grand, when the car is running at peak temperature the cold air out of the front vent does become a little warm, as does the dash top.
So to save 2k and spend 38.5k could be a costly error, especially at re-sale when virtually every other car on offer has it fitted.

Well up until last weekend I would have said I'd wasted £2000.... but then got caught in a traffic jam on the A11 coming back from Snetterton. It was really hot and so was the car after doing many laps!!
We would have both cooked without the air con which does enough to keep the cockpit nice and cool...
I'd say that in the summer it's going to be essential, and anyone who orders a T350C or T without air-con is quite clearly mad, if not only for the several grand it'll cost them when they come to sell it on and no-one wants it....
Ask any dealer whether Cerb's without air con sell.....I know one dealer that has had a fantastic Cerb sitting on their forecourt for months now and it's purely down to the fact it doesn't have air-con and will roast you alive in the summer...

The more people that say it's a must means that people will believe it then they lose value on resale, all for something that isn't necessarily true.

I am not getting into anything alt and I am not saying that air-con is a must in a Tamora. I am simply stating my experience of my car. I live in Central London and so am often stuck in traffic. Taking the roof off can be hotter than leaving the roof on if the sun is in full force and the car is not moving, so I am simply putting the option on the car. I would also prefer to take the roof off than use air-con but that isn't always the solution.

That's the same response often heard to the same question about aircon in Griffs & Chims. I guess to have that point of view you must:

You're still going to get a Betty Swollocks (or the female equivalent) with air con!
With the roof off, stuck in traffic, I find the air-con makes things just that little bit less sweaty and sticky in the footwells in my Tuscan. This makes it a much more pleasant place to be than my Chim 500 was roof off sweating like a pig, stuck in traffic on a hot day
