engine:
apexi intake
4-2-1 stainless manifold
powerflow catback

Hello mate.

I think you'll find a fair amount of scorn for all show no go around here (although I'm guilty on the massive wheels front)

Nissan looks subtly done - although I'm not convinced by the steering wheel..
AX GTIs always were featherweight fliers. Should be highly amusing with some 120bhp...

Hi and welcome Sussex GTi,

I'm sure the others will be along pretty soon to say "welome to the madhouse" etc.

An intresting pair of motors you have there.

Do I remember correctly that the Almera GTi is the one with the bespoke "Wiessach" axel (as opposed to the standard beam set-up) which was inspired by the passive rear wheel steering Porsche 928 (hence the "Weissach" bit)?
I seem to remember the press raving about the car for its fantastic handling (if not its advertising campaign!) back in the day.
Is the fog light cover for an unfinished pair of projectors or for a CAI on one side?

An AX GT with 120bhp, that thing is going to blummin' fly, even more punch the Rocky Marciano!

I don't know about the all show no go MrE, although I'm with you on the steering wheel, They both look pretty sleepy to me!

Anyways welcome and see you around,
Dave.

To go quicker junk the EBC greenstuffs for a start!

Welcome to PH.

:werd: Managed to smoke mine, well not me personally, the chap I sold my car to managed to get them smoking quite badly, and I found them quite soft.

Welcome BTW Ignore the ramblings of Mr E, he's been known to have his fair share of made cosmetic ideas.......just mention coloured tyre gel.......

Redstuffs have the weirdest feel in the world. Actually they feel like Greenstuffs, but actually work lol. Get some Pagids instead.

I know what you mean. They take while to wake up (but hey so do I so that's ok) but when they do they are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.
They do seem to eat discs though (and they were EBC spotties too, so designed to go together wobble), or was that just me? I did tend to make mine smelly quite often on the CRX.hehe

I think they are designed to excenuate the feeling of bite, but lose feel by being quite snappy. They smell nice though. rolleyes

I have to say I don't quite see how a sleeper equates to all and no go... one for the "Just step away from the slightly scary person" file I think MrE.

Don't how they compare on price, badly most likely, but Carnasewer or DemonTweeks should be able to source any bits you need, TBH that's where I got bits for the Honda...

Ok, all I am saying is both your cars look very nicely and subtley presented.

You've done/intend to do all the right things so you can enjoy your cars to the full (which is absolutely in the PH spirit) but you haven't wasted time and money on ugly, heavey, pointless external mods which only attract the wrong kinds of attention.

My definition of a sleeper.

For all the above I salute you.
bow

What any others might mean by "sleeper" in this context is not for me to say.

I have EBC Slotted/Grooved Discs and redstuff pads all round and they are not bad although i think the fronts at times could be a bit better when repeated brakking but not bad anyway. My rears will take a while to die but when the fronts go i will be swapping to yellow stuff....i spoke to the man at EBC HQ in person, nice chap, (they are based in Northampton about 3 miles from me) that Yellow stuff are the Ultimate EBC to have and that's what i'll be getting next time.

I reccommend Yellow stuff.

yes,my exact definition of a sleeper. i love the fact that people have no idea what my car is,what engine it has etc.i must admit i have my eye on a bit of 'show' at the moment.but who can say no to a nissan motorsport europe magnesium cam cover?
