vectra 2.6 v6 thottle body enlarging

Does anybody now how to enlarge a thottle body for a 2.6 v6 vectra i have been told you have to get it cnc macined and fit a bigger butterfly but i have also been told you can just file a lip of by hand in a hour does any one have any imformation pics would be brill

hello mate, are you sure that the throttle body is a major airflow restriction on these engines? There's a lot written on enlarging the throttle bodies in some of the less technical magazines but its a pointless exercise if it's not the weak link in the chain so to speak, however i don't know these engines and you may be onto something - just don't get sucked into all the BS. There are other considerations such as the throttle position sensor etc if your going to start machining bits from the TB.
