Hi guys, I'm trying to persuade a mate the these are a viable proposition for him, but he has parking problems in his street (it's quite tight.) Can anyone tell me what the dimensions of these are? They're not listed on Parkers.co.uk which is my usual resource for this kind of question.

Cheers

Is this mate absolutely minted and doesn't mind (from what I've heard) bloody rediculous servicing costs?

If he is, go for it, otherwise be a bit careful, they can be moneypits - again from my readings.

They are pretty bloody big though, try seven series length, and wider...

Straight from the hand book :-
Length : 4.78m
Width : 1.855m
Height : 1.34m
Wheelbase : 2.684m
Turning Circle : 10.6m (wheels) 11.5m (overall)
Oh, and they weigh 1790Kg!

From experience I can say that when you are used to them, they are easy to park but you do have to get used to the blind nose (that lovely bonnet just drops away...)

If you need any more info, I'd be delighted to help. In fact, if he fancies an 850, I'm selling one of mine very soon!

Service costs are perfectly reasonable if you either use a good independant or do most of it yourself.
Definitely be careful with the purchase. A neglected one can be a total nightmare but a good one is superb.
Yes, they ain't small - see my post on dimensions - but they certainly ooze presence.

From Parkers for the 7 series for comparison:

Length 4984 mm
Width 1862 mm
Height 1435 mm
Weight 1785 kg

I was nearly right

Hah! Never! Its amazing!
To be honest, I intended to sell the Ci as soon as I bought the CSi (having two 8's is just a little greedy...)
However, I've been bringing the CSi up to scratch and have just finished rebuilding the engine so I kinda never got round to selling the Ci. It is just so lovely to drive and three years later I'm still running it.
It is a particularly good Ci and it has an ability to eat the miles in such an effortless way - like nothing else.
However, the time has come to part with it and I know I'll be gutted to see it go. Its one of those cars that you inherently trust to always get you wherever you want to go in total comfort. And it still turns heads - in fact a couple of months ago a chap in a petrol station strolled over and asked if it was the new 6 series! (I pointed out that it was far too beautiful a car for that....)

Whats the deal on the Ci then??
Pics?
Prices?

I'm in bargehunting mode for a few-thousand-mile-a-year motorway goddess

Cheers for that guys. He was trying to tell me he couldn't get one because it was bigger than a 5 series and I wasn't convinced. Looks like he was rightyikes They're deceptive in the flesh though.
