Anyone alse spotted this?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2413612040&category=18308

can't believe someone has bid £30k for it already as it needs paintwork and has no service history...even worse it hasn't met the reserve at that price!

What's a proper price for one of these ?

(bearing in mind it's had an accident and it's got no service history .... ulp !!)

Haha ! I like how he says "Please do not ask my reserve price this is why I have put it in an auction" then the next line is "RESERVE PRICE £32000/$51500." !!

There's probably some gimp out there willing to botch it up with a cortina engine and some body filler.

I'd say no more than £25k with its history (not that I'd go near it!)

A decent example with immaculate paintwork and full service history would be £40k (not that I'm selling or anything...well not until July at least!)

Id have said it was still a bit higher than that...around 30K (though assuming it isnt actually utterly buggered)

...and christ thats an ugly interior....

Nightmare; you really MUST get a photo or seven of your beastie for the common good of the forum.

Kindly desist with such selfish indulgence! And what the hell is 600-odd bhp like, too?

Possibly the worst colour combo, one of the oldest around, plenty of miles on the clock, no history, in need of cosmetics and previously subject to insurance claim. Sounds very iffy to me, given the cheapest 'proper' one on autotrader is £43k I would suggest £22-24k trade. But I don't think I'd put my money into it, in fact who is mug enough to buy this one? And as mentioned, boy is that interior nasty

Reserve is 32K. I don't understand why the high bidder has a 'shops' logo attached to his username. This presumably means he sells stuff on ebay so why is he bidding on this? Unless....

Agree with the other comments- don't like the tan leather (though you could change that), insurance claim, no SH.

Doors open vertically tho'

Do not touch this car. I have seen it at Snetterton and it really does need a respray. The front bumper is a different yellow from the rest of the car. Also the owner drives it like a complete nutter. On heading for the pits at Snetterton he went over a speed hump at some ridiculous speed and came close to taking the front of the car out.

I think this is the same car that was sold by a salvage dealer (Optima?) about a year ago, and if memory serves, it sold for the same sort of money as now. It could cost more than £30K to put the right!

I wouldn't walk away from it, I would run....

PS: What is wrong with the colour of the interior?? Is it just the combination with the yellow exterior?

Some older supercars *could* make an interesting project for someone, especially if they were cheap. If you had a Diablo with a perfect body, but just shagged out mechanics, it could be sorted out. Maybe even drop in an american 'crate' V8, like the ultima lads do. Doubt you'd find a 150k mile Diablo though!!
