Brand new tyre badly out of balance?
Discussion
I posted this on General Gassing but it looks like it'll get buried there so I wondered if any of you chaps here might help? Rich... http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
I'm going back a few years, but I used to work in a car factory and, while obviously we used a lot of tyres, we used to get scores of rejects every day.
I also had a set of Goodyear tyres replaced on a new Cavalier that wouldn't balance - Goodyear sent someone from the factory in Wolverhampton and he said they tyres had a 'splice' in the sidewalls. He organised for them to be replaced then with Michelins at tyre depot that Goodyear owned.
