Hello,
Started my annual service on my Atom (1.8K powered) yesterday and found the following
i) Can't remove number 1 spark plug, it is as if something is stopping the plug spanner from properly engaging with the plug, i.e. some kind of obstruction, can't think what tho.
ii) Some oil on number 4 spark plug, car does not use any oil but this is a bit worrying.
Suggestions for i) and ii) welcome
Thanks
Ben

I had this once, it was because the rubber shroud of the HT lead had fallen apart and I couldn't engage the socket, needed to fish it out with a long screwdriver or the like.
I wouldn't worry about the oil on #4 the chances are there is a very minor cam cover leak that over time has built up.
Regards
Iain

The oil on the plug, is it on the plug tip from inside the combustion chamber or the plug body that sits outside?
It is on the thread / bit inside the combustion chamber but not the tip. This evening I will turn the engine over to see if I can see any oil on the pistonBen
