Courtesy Light Pain in the Arse

The courtesy light door switches on my Griff are made by Audi so you would think they would be the most reliable bit on the car. Unfortunately TVR blindfolded the man who made the holes they live in so they snap off when you close the drivers door. Do the later Griffs use a different switch? Are they still positioned at the bottom of the door about 2 inches from the rear pillar? Do they snap off when you close the door?
