I was driving my 05 KA today and used the aircon for about 15min, stoped off for 10 min and from then on the heating is perminently on even in cold position.

i looked around online for answers and found out that there is a problem with a valve that controls the flow of the coolant.

can anyone confirm this and help with a solution?

many thanks

Yes, heater valve sounds most likely.

thanks for the advice i will give the valve a go this weekend and hopefuy all will be sorted.
i phoned around a couple of parts companies and none of the can provide it, they say i can only buy it over the counter from ford. would anyone know where else i can get the valve in a hurry?

many thanks again, i will update sunday or monday.
looks like it will be a toasty 5 hour journey to london biggrin

I would only fit a Ford one as i know of problems with some valves, valve sounds a certainty as panel problems are very rare.
