Quoting a post & smileys

Noticed if you quote a post where they use an icon (like this one) - it adds that icon to the reply - and most people forget to remove it. It is often confusing as it can put the wrong message across. Small thing mind

Yes sorry, the post icon - although there doesn't appear to be any attached to yours!

This is (in the words of microsoft when they have something you think is strange) by design. We may look at changing this in the future, so have added it to the list.
