Does it really serve a purpose over a normal "cable" cable..

I dont know about your throttle cable, but ours, even after replacing it with a Teflon lined cable, still doesnt have that great of modulation because of friction, and also has cable stretch. I think others have similar problems

I bought the new PTFE lined cable when mine started to stick. When I came to fit it I found the carb linkage was stiff. Having freed it off I reconnected the existing cable and put the new one in the drawer. Mines been in use for three years now.

Good luck threading that through the sidepod luggage containers if you're retrofitting! hehe

The only price I found was $145. It also needs to be pushed instead of pulled. Has anyone tried a shifter cable? might be a better alternative, at least for a already completed ultima

Hi Nick, i tried this "CNC" product on my GT40, short story just don't bother the cylinder seals never lasted and even with compressor oil and small bore braided hoses it never was as good as a correctly setup cable..... but like you say it seemed like a great idea... seeing as F1 Boys use a Hydaulic Throttle...

I wonder what system they use as it is not uncommon for a car to stop on track with the reason stated as 'Hydraulic failure and consequent loss of throttle'. This would imply that their system is continually charged from the engine rather than a stand alone system. Perhaps in that case it does not matter if it leaks a little.
